Privacy Policy
National Park Memories & Tracker respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles information and what data is—and is not—collected.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data from the app. We do not sell data, build advertising profiles, or use third-party analytics to track how you use the app.
We do not store your name, email address, account information, location history, or browsing activity in connection with the app.
Photo and location processing
The app may read photo metadata stored on your device to identify national parks connected to a photo. This processing happens entirely on your device. We do not upload your images, metadata, or other private content to our servers.
Permissions
The app may request access to your photo library so it can analyze photos already stored on your device and organize park memories. That access is used only for the app’s intended features.
Third-party software
The app and website do not use third-party libraries or software development kits. The website is built with standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Third-party services
National Park Memories & Tracker does not use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, or background data collection services. No user data is shared with external parties for marketing or tracking purposes.
Sample images
Sample images included in the app are sourced from the National Park Service’s Photo Gallery. We use images credited to NPS and identified as public domain. NPS notes that images credited to NPS without a copyright symbol are public domain; images carrying a copyright symbol or credited to another entity should not be presumed public domain.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here. Questions about privacy can be sent to apbeers@icloud.com.
